Community Support

Butterflies, Trees & Dreams is a nonprofit organization started in 2004 and is the brainchild of Patrick Rippee and his wife, Marjorie Lynne Wagner. This organization was created to help the "working poor," hard working employed local citizens whose wages barely cover basic necessities. Often they can't afford to repair their vehicles, which they need to get to work, the grocery store or other errands. Since there is no public transportation in Moab or Grand County, we wanted to help!

Through Butterflies, Trees & Dreams and the generosity of our donors, we do free repairs or give free vehicles to deserving local families. We also provide assistance to those with immediate and desperate needs who have nowhere else to turn.

For example, we provided glasses and contacts to a blind boy who can now see clearly for the first time in conjunction with of our local optometrist, Dr. Todd Hackney. We also paid the burial costs of a baby whose parents could not. These are just some of the instances where we could help out some of our fellow residents. Butterflies, Trees & Dreams gladly accepts donations of cash or used vehicles in good running condition. Call us today to find out how you can help and get involved!

How to Choose a Suitable Jeep for Jeeping and Four Wheeling

2. Get a jeep with front and rear lockers (locks up the differential so that both wheels rotate at the same time. It synchronizes the wheels so they spin together giving you coordinated power.), high clearance (maybe 24 inch clearance)

For major work altercations on your Jeep like heavier duty springs and shocks, adding lockers, lifting suspensions, or fabrications, try 4x4 Outpost in Moab, Utah. And for good knobby tires (the knobs are far apart from each other to provide better grip in slick rock and sand, try Chip's Grand Tire of Moab, Utah.
